AI-driven automation and insights are powering enterprise sales efficiency

PLUS: A new AI tool that allows you to search large datasets with precision and improve research results

Today we cover an enterprise sales use case that shows how businesses are utilizing AI-powered technology to improve their sales processes.

We also highlight an AI tool that allows you to spin up your own language model and enhance its dataset through access to greater levels of information.

Let’s get to it!

💡 1 CASE STUDY

How AI Enhances Enterprise Sales Operations

Enterprise sales teams are turning to AI to automate daily functions & enhance effectiveness, focusing teams on spending more time in front of prospects.

By using AI models to extract insights from customer data, salespeople can better personalize outreach and strengthen client relationships.

Here are four ways AI is transforming enterprise sales operations:

  1. Lead Scoring and Prioritization

AI can analyze sales prospects based on fit, need, and readiness to buy. It can score leads and help sales teams determine which opportunities to focus on first. Automated lead scoring helps ensure inbound inquiries don't slip through the cracks.

  1. Data-Driven Upselling

Companies can use consumer data flowing into AI systems and track buying signals and activity. The AI then recommends relevant products/services based on consumer preferences, to drive personalized conversations. It also suggests upselling opportunities through a greater understanding of consumer needs.

  1. Predictive Analytics

AI can examine historical sales data and detect patterns in customer engagements. It then forecasts deals likely to close and estimates deal size. This will allow managers to better predict revenue attainment and understand the habits of their highest revenue generating customers.

  1. Automated Assistants

AI chatbots that handle common sales queries to ease rep workloads. The chatbots respond to prospects with consistent answers, freeing up sales teams for complex client interactions.

The key to driving quarterly results is utilizing AI as an augmentation, not a replacement for savvy sales professionals.

AI can transform sales operations in a customer-centric way, crunching data to surface insights and keeping salespeople in their genius zone, away from energy sucking data entry and repetitive tasks.

🛠️ 2 TOOLS

Genei.io (🔗 link)

Genei is a tool that allows users to research large datasets more efficiently.

Users simply upload their project's keywords and topics, and the tool generates lists of relevant info specifically sourced for your project.

Einstein Studio by Salesforce (🔗 link)

Einstein 1 and Copilot are the first releases in Salesforce BYOM (bring your own model) solutions.

Einstein trains language models on customer data from Data Cloud and allows users to use their own custom AI in accompaniment with Einstein GPTs LLMs.

This speaks to a larger trend of enterprises using incumbent software solutions that are customized to their own specifications.

🥽 3 TRENDS

Senate AI Summit brought together world leaders in AI and major policymakers (🔗 link)

The world's most prominent AI leaders descend upon Washington DC to discuss the future of emerging tech & AI regulations.

Leaders included over 20 major tech CEOs (Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates), civil rights advocates, and politicians.

Senate majority representative Chuck Schumer asked the room if they thought the government should intervene with Artificial Intelligence, and every single leader raised their hand in agreement.

Discussions ranged from AI legislative policies to AI search safety, and how AI can help modify society for better or worse.

The general consensus was that there needs to be congruence between global leaders in AI and that an agency focusing on global response to AI needs to be created.

The majority of Americans don’t trust companies to use AI responsibly (🔗 link)

Gallup conducted a survey on AI among Americans that revealed strong consumer opinions on the progression of tech.

Survey statistics that stood out:

  • 75% of Americans believe that AI with reduce the number of jobs over the next 10 years

  • US adults with less than a Bachelors education believe that AI will decrease jobs more than those who have earned a Bachelors or greater (80% vs. 60%)

  • 79% of Americans believe that AI technology will be abused by those in power

Overall, it is evident that most individuals are least trusting of AI when it’s in the hands of businesses.

Generative AI adoption has grown rapidly in the past 12 months, and quite a few jobs have integrated AI into their workflows, but this quick transition has left many people feeling less trusting of how AI will impact their jobs.

Generative AI is the beginning, Interactive AI is up-next (🔗 link)

Google's DeepMind co-founder, Mustafa Suleyman, predicts that while generative AI is here now, the automation to look forward to is interactive AI.

What interactive AI looks like is a bot that a user can command to accomplish various tasks asynchronously, with the bot relying on other software and other humans to get the job done.

Suleyman also observes this new progression in artificial intelligence as “approaching an era of radical abundance”.

He looks at the era we’re about to enter, as one filled with broad, global equal access to artificial intelligence and machine learning, which in turn is going to lead to an increase in general knowledge, and overall productivity.

Thats a wrap!
